Released ten days before Valentine's Day 2002, Jim Brickman's Valentine is a collection containing re-recordings of some of his more popular tracks with an eye toward serving as a romantic background to those celebrating the holiday.
It is a mixture of solo piano performances like "Sundown" and "Reflection" with tracks in a contemporary jazz vein ("Valentine") and adult contemporary vocal songs ("To Hear You Say You Love Me," "You," "Love of My Life") by guest vocalists including Martina McBride.
Old fans can skip this set of retreads, but casual fans may find it serves its purpose well.
