Recorded in December, 1990 during a series of live gigs at the Tokyo club Inkstick, Readymade Recordings shows another side of the usually studio-bound band.

Here, backed by members of Yasuharu Konishi's side-project Tokyo's Coolest Combo, Pizzicato Five come across as a beatnik lounge band.

The songs here never turned up in any other form on any other release, apart from "Lament No.

5," which popped up on Matador's Sound of Music compilation.

And except for that track, the album isn't very interesting apart from the historical value.
